Pink Ribbon Monaco

Honorary President: Princess Charlene of Monaco Founded in 2011, Pink Ribbon Monaco is the first association in the region to have championed Breast Cancer Awareness Month, notably through the illumination of emblematic buildings across the Principality in pink—now a recognised symbol of solidarity and prevention. Led by its Founder and President, Natasha Frost-Savio, Pink Ribbon Monaco is dedicated to promoting early detection and breast health awareness through public engagement, education, and institutional collaboration. Two flagship initiatives have become its signature: the annual Pink Ribbon Walk each February and the iconic Pink Lights illuminations held during the first week of October—both reinforcing the message that early screening saves lives. Beyond awareness, the association delivers measurable social impact, understood as the alignment of public health education, community mobilisation, and long-term outcomes. Pink Ribbon Monaco also raises essential funds to support cancer research, contributing directly to scientific progress and improved detection strategies in partnership with the medical community. A member of the Committee for the Protection and Promotion of Women’s Rights in the Principality, the association supports greater gender equality, recognising that access to health information and preventive care is fundamental to women’s autonomy. Working closely with the Princely Government, the National Council, the Ministry of Health and Social Services, and in partnership with the Princess Grace Hospital, Pink Ribbon Monaco has for more than a decade fostered awareness, health, and togetherness. Its work operates at the intersection of public health, civic engagement, and soft diplomacy, building bridges between institutions, cultures, and communities, including the international and British resident communities in Monaco.
