Pinwheel Design Studio

We are two school friends who have known each other for the last 20 years. Our joint creativity combines art, color, trends, humor, and a beautiful story. The years of experience and knowledge along with trust, friendship and honesty amalgamated into the forming of Pinwheel Design studio. We believe that with designing a building, a broad range of fundamental concerns comes along with it: human consideration, construction integrity, the economy and questions of appearance and aesthetics. We are consciously committed to the search for an architecture capable of enhancing life and providing a sense of inspiration and engagement to its inhabitants. The building should be a dialog with the context and the environment. Our design process proceeds from the natural features of the site and the functional, social and spatial requirements of the brief to provoke an aesthetic response for the user. We do not favor the imposition of any style of work as it is nurtured by the need of the project and the cultural scenario it is located against. We transcend many genres and styles giving us the opportunity to bring a multidisciplinary approach to our projects. Sustainability and Minimalism have been the key concepts for most of our designs. Conservation of energy in any form, physical or mechanical is what we try to achieve. Therefore, the implementation and involvement of new technology into our designs helps us reach this goal. In addition, creating a link between the artist and the building tradesman will serve to raise aspirations regarding quality workmanship and the craft of the building. So there are many sides that make them constantly discover new materials and modes of expression.
