Pioneer Science

Pioneer Science was conceived with the purpose of supporting the formation, development and attraction of science talents in Brazil. Strategic pillars of the initiative include funding frontier research through partnerships with leading institutions both in the country and abroad and developing the necessary infrastructure in Brazil. The initiative aims to support programs with great transformative potential for Science and society. We will identify and develop promising and as yet unexplored areas of research that can translate into important advances at the interfaces between the biomedical and health sciences and the exact sciences, including physics, chemistry, mathematics, computing and engineering. We seek to develop creative and inspiring leaders, with a collaborative spirit, who challenge themselves and question orthodox views of natural phenomena.
