Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Studies in Rural Development is a research organization registered under Society Registration Act 1860, Section 21. The Institute was established in 1987 and is working in the field of rural and urban development since then. The management of the Institute is vested in the Executive Body of 5 members from various disciplines. The Institute is also registered under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. The Institute has been registered under 12A Income Tax Exception Act 1961. It has a vision to promote action research and empower individuals and communities through Capacity Building and Advocacy Its mission is to enhance information and skills among people through a gender sensitive right based approach and promote social and action oriented research for sustainable human development.
