ABOUT PLAN TO EMPOWER Women and children around the world are in desperate need of financial support, social equality and political representation. Economic development has been proven to better the quality of human lives and make possible the support, equality and representation desired by women and children. The gender gap that exists in global poverty is growing rapidly. Plan to Empower is a non-profit organization created with the aim to promote child welfare and women's right. We seek to safeguard the rights of women and children through advocacy, education, and empowerment. We work to ensure that families thrive in environments that are safe, healthy, nurturing, and productive. Women and children are the most vulnerable and disadvantaged constituents of most populations. We believe that the human rights and the wellbeing of women and children are inextricably linked and mutually reinforcing, and we recognize that the empowerment of women and children in particular can have a compelling ripple effect on entire communities MISSION Plan to Empower is organized to provide tools for self-sufficiency and sustainability in distressed communities in India. We seek to motivate, train, and assist people to improve the quality of life through entrepreneurship and sustainability. For the next three years Plan to Empower will primarily work in India developing its self-help and youth empowerment programs and promote gender equality, women empowerment, skill development and health improvement programs. VISION Plan to Empower recognizes the need to support and encourage the sustainable development of child, women, youth and the environment so that economically distressed communities might become self-sustaining entities while preserving the traditional customs that hold them together.
