PLANTVOICE was born from the meeting of the world of research with the world of entrepreneurship and the culture of Italian know-how. PLANTVOICE is the first biocompatible sap flow technology and identifies in real time variations in the composition of the sap, which are correlated with plant stress situations. PLANTVOICE is a biosensor, the size of a toothpick, which, by insertion inside the stem of the plant, allows real-time analysis of the sap flow. Each type of stress is identifiable: water stress, biotic stress (bacteria or fungi), abiotic stress (chemical substances or salts in the soil). The early identification of stress, and in particular water stress, allows both to maintain the ideal conditions of health and productivity of the plant and to determine the minimum quantity of water necessary. The widespread adoption of PLANTVOICE will allow us to optimize water resources both with immediate savings for farmers and with positive impacts at a global environmental level. PLANTVOICE è la prima tecnologia di sap flow biocompatibile che identifica in tempo reale le variazioni nella composizione della linfa, correlate a situazioni di stress delle piante. PLANTVOICE è grande quanto uno stuzzicadenti, viene inserito all'interno del fusto della pianta, e consente l'analisi in tempo reale del flusso della linfa. Ogni tipologia di stress è identificabile: stress idrico, stress biotico (batteri o funghi), stress abiotico (sostanze chimiche o sali nel terreno). L’individuazione precoce degli stress, ed in particolare dello stress idrico, consente sia di mantenere le condizioni ideali di salute e produttività della pianta, sia di determinare la quantità minima di acqua necessaria. L’adozione di PLANTVOICE ottimizzerà le risorse idriche sia con un risparmio immediato per gli agricoltori, sia con ricadute positive a livello ambientale.
