Plater Chemicals was founded in 1980 to bring quality, industrial chemicals to companies in the UK and Ireland. We have developed strong relationships with chemical manufacturers across Europe, China, India, South America & the Far East. Plater Chemicals Northern is a distributor for chemical manufacturers in the Ciech group to Plater Group customers in the food, feed and pharmaceutical sectors in the UK and Ireland. We import directly into our own warehouses at Ellesmere Port, Glossop, Ipswich and Goole, for blending, packaging and distribution direct to our customers. Managing our own supply chain and distribution means the quality and grade of your chemicals – whether it is for food or industrial use - is assured. Plater Chemicals Northern Our Northern team is based in Howden, East Yorkshire. Its established supply chain means we can grasp opportunities to optimise the total supply chain, enhanced by technology. We source directly from the manufacturers on regular, monthly shipments into our warehouses in Goole and Flixborough using our long-term shipping partner, Fast Shipping based in Szczecin. We then supply customers direct from our own stock in the quantities and the liquid / powder blends required. Our distribution portfolio includes Soda Ash, Sodium Bicarbonate, Calcium Chloride, Aluminium Sulphate and Sulphur from Ciech, Monochlorobenzene, Dichlorobebenzene and Caustic Soda Flake from Rokita, Epichlorohydrin and Allyl Chloride from Spolchemie (Czech Republic) plus Sodium Molybdate & Metal Salts from Centrum Metal. Plater Chemicals Northern is accredited to ISO 9001 and is an approved supplier against the requirements of the Universal Feed Assurance Standard (UFAS) for sodium bicarbonate.
