Platypus Partners provides capital raising services for private equity and other alternative investment firms. We think long-term but maintain the flexibility to consider highly targeted fundraises. The firm was founded in 2017 by Georgina Cadbury and George Curtis who have known each other for more than a decade. They previously worked together at Palmer Capital, prior to which George was an LP client of Georgina’s. We have a proven track record of sourcing high quality investments and executing fundraisings, including for first-time funds. Our investor base includes large family offices, fund of funds, endowments / charitable foundations, consultants, pension funds, insurance companies and sovereign wealth funds. Our core expertise is connecting sources of capital (principally European-domiciled) to private equity funds and direct investment opportunities. Platypus Partners is passionate about sourcing investments with unique attributes. The key to our success is simple - we are only as good as the people and firms we partner with. We undertake a meticulous approach to analysing potential mandates, ensuring they fit our investor base’s investment criteria. The output of our diligence results in a strictly limited number of assignments and the provision of a highly personalised service. We are process driven but without a ‘one size fits all’ mentality.
