Playcafe
PlayCafe was an online game show network where everyone could be a contestant. It produced over 300 live game shows in 2007-2008. Anyone watching from home could answer questions, win prizes, join chat rooms, and form teams. PlayCafe raised $1M from First Round Capital and angels. Players watched for an average of 87 minutes per day but the shows did not reach enough users to make the business of remaining funds were returned to investors and the company was shut down in 2008.
