Playfree

PlayFree is founded with the mission to encourage free play and to bring back the balance between scheduled activities and unstructured play for children. We believe that children should have more room to play freely and should feel free to imagine without an outcome of ‘right’ or ‘wrong’. Play is a way for children to make sense of the world around them. During play, children develop their social skills, problem solving, communications skills, creativity and collaborations, which are needed in the 21st century. But how do we stimulate those skills in the most interesting and efficient way? PlayFree has found the way that is going through schools, after-school daycares and other organisations who work with children. We offer them a monthly subscription plan in order to access unique, life-sized, loose-parts play materials that are mostly popular in the world, but not yet present in the Netherlands. Organisations will receive every two months one set out of our PlayFree collection (in total 6 sets per year). During this time, children are free to explore and play with the materials whenever they want and that is the whole idea of free play. Of course, we take care of transportations, cleaning, maintenance and other matters. PlayFree aims to provide a hassle-free process to organisations because, in the end, children are the ones who benefit from it all.
