Mission statement: Innovate fashion, film, music, and culture for young professionals. Vision statement: To redefine black culture through the inspiration, motivation, and progression of our people. HU Playmakers was established in 2012 as a means to provide safe social experiences for college students in Washington, D.C. As only Freshman and Sophomores in college – we planned and sold out events at the Fillmore Silver Spring, Howard Theatre, etc. Our motto of “Play Hard – Study Harder” truly resonated with our audience. Playmakers US was launched in 2016 to fill a void for social activities targeting young professionals on the East Coast. Events such as the Young Alumni Social, the Wine N Whiskey Experience, HowardLantavegas, and New Chocolate City have become staples for young professionals in both Washington, D.C. and New York City. We look to continue to redefine social experiences and lifestyle brands by connecting other "playmakers" across all industries for events that cannot be replicated.
