Plecter is a consulting company that supports strategic decision-making by dialogic approaches to navigate a world we struggle to understand. Complexity comes from the Latin etymology Com [together with] Plectere [to braid, to weave] My work tries to weave together the intelligence of the whole, for the purpose of higher collective knowledge and creativity, so that a team of people can make sense of intractable problems and charts (often just nudge) a path forward. My work uses sustainability and other "hard" sciences to set overall constraints and boundaries, and social sciences to create and deploy the dialogic techniques needed for such groups of people to make sense of our knowledge and work with it. What does this all mean in practice- strategic sustainable development to set the "hard boundaries" while exploring future scenarios: through a science-based approach, we explore together what are nature's non-negotiable's (resource and other planetary boundaries) to explore how our future scenarios stack up against natural constraints, and how to work with it in your favor and gauge opportunities of the future- dialogue-based organizational development: I use dialogic processes for heightening a team's performance, increase their collective intelligence and creativity, and use participatory approach to leadership in complexity- supporting science, citizenry, and decision-makers: my ultimate goals is to contribute to improve the quality of our democratic institutions, when these processes become familiar enough and can inform a system redesign towards a form of participatory democracy that makes full use scientific evidence and broad consensus, for forward looking (and future proof) policies.
