Pleioflow-RF is a percutaneous flow assist device of a disruptive, innovative and patented technology, featuring a self-expanding, one way downstream valve, and a pulsating balloon (standard IAB) segment that is, in combination of the latter two, intended to provide temporary circulatory support, during high-risk cardiac surgery, intra and postoperatively. Pleioflow-HF is a minimally invasive blood flow assist device of a disruptive, innovative and patented technology featuring a self-expanding percutaneous catheter-mounted flow assist segment that is intended to provide temporary circulatory support for the left ventricle (LV) during high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions (HR-PCI) and in patients hospitalized with cardiogenic shock (CS) as well as post CPB low cardiac output cases. In the Pleioflow family of Devices, one or two, reversibly collapsible valves, can be combined to a single pulsating balloon. When two valves are incorporated simultaneously on either side of the pumping balloon, they simulate the inlet and the outlet valve of the left ventricle, driving one way flow, downstream, in and out of a pressurized chamber. This resembles an "artificial heart" placed in the Aorta, which increases the blood flow significantly, towards a specific direction.
