ploterre is the alias of Rebecca Kaye. Based in Edinburgh and with a background in both mathematics and design, she combines her experience alongside her passion for the natural world to create artwork to nurture curious minds. ploterre unearths insights from data and visualises these findings through art. Each mark on the page is deliberately crafted from data through a process of translating sketches into formulas. The journey of ploterre began with a desire to understand the world using mathematics to navigate nature and art to bring it to life.
