Tamás Babits, founder and CEO, brought about Plydesign in 2014, intending to create a high-end collection designed by talented creatives based on his 35-year family-owned factory’s extensive experience manufacturing molded plywood. Care, consciousness and curiosity have shaped the core of their design approach, where the fusion of technology and material turns ideas into reality - improving people’s quality of life. The brand’s strategy is framed by innovation, collaboration and efficiency. Its mission is to create a platform for original concepts and to encourage young designers, thus boosting the position of the Hungarian wood and design industry at home and abroad.
