Plympton Farms

Plympton Farms, a social enterprise, is the largest greenhouse and hydroponic grower in Guyana, founded in 2012 with a three-part mission: to provide employment to rural communities along the Demerara River and Linden Soesdyke highway, to elevate the capabilities of the fresh produce sector in Guyana, and to provide export markets for local chili pepper farmers. Plympton has developed proprietary technology addressing the specific challenges faced by Guyanese farmers, including a patented greenhouse design, hydroponic substrates made from local upcycled materials, and high-volume chili processing capabilities. Recognized as the most innovative vegetable farm in Guyana, Plympton is incentivized to expand its successful model to benefit more farmers and enhance the agricultural landscape.
