Ian Power is a director of features, short films, and commercials from Dublin, Ireland. Graduating with a first from the Masters in Film at DIT, Ian began directing short films with 'Buskers', which won Best Irish Short awards at the Galway Film Fleadh, the Cork Film Festival, and the Foyle Film Festival. Other shorts include the Warner Bros. distributed 'The Wonderful Story of Kelvin Kind', winner of Best Short Drama at the Celtic Film and TV Festival; and 'Dental Breakdown' a comedy musical, winner of numerous festival awards including a Remi Award at the Houston Film Festival, the Award of Excellence at the LA Film Awards, and Best Short Comedy at the Fastnet Film Festival. In 2009 Ian wrote and directed 'The Runway', his first feature length film starring Demián Bichir (Steven Soderberg's 'Che' & Showtimes 'Weeds'), Kerry Condon ('The Last Station'), and James Cosmo ('Braveheart').'The Runway' premiered at The Galway Film Fleadh in 2010 and picked up the award for Best Irish Feature.'The Runway' had its European Premiere at the Rome Film Festival, and its US Premiere at the Palm Springs Film Festival where it was selected as Best of Fest. Since then it has won multiple awards and secured theatrical release in the USA, as well as Mexico, Spain, France, the Middle East, and China, among others.
