The first plant for production of chlorine and polyvinyl chloride was commissioned in 1962 in the valley of Chemistry – Devnya, Bulgaria, marking the beginning of "Polimeri". Its production facilities produced liquid chlorine, caustic soda (sodium hydroxide), hydrochloric acid, chlorine lime, carbide, vinyl chloride, and emulsion polyvinyl chloride. PRODUCTS: Liquid Chlorine (CL2) Used in the synthesis of chlorine - containing organic compounds, for bleaching, desinfection and other applications. Purified Caustic Soda (NaOH) Applied in the chemical, paper, textile industries, in the production of soaps etc. Diaphragm Caustic Soda - Technical Grade (NaOH) Ethylene Bichloride (CL-СН2-СН2-CL) Used as a feedstock for VCM production as well as for the production of pharmaceutical products. Hydrochloric Acid - Chemically Pure (HCL) The chemically pure hydrochloric acid is used as a chemically pure reagent as well as in electronics. Hydrocloric Acid, Synthetic, Technical Grade (HCL) Used for softening of industrial water, as well as in the chemical, food, leather, metal working and dye- stuff industries. Hypochlorite (NАOCL) Hypochlorite is used as bleaching agent, for disinfection in stock - breeding, food industry and in the sanitary services, after being diluted with drinking water. Sodium Chloride - Technically Pure (NaCl) It is used for technical needs and for strewing the roads in winter time. TRIZON - A preparation for Disinfenction and Washing TRIZON has a wide range of antimicrobal effect against cocci bacteria, spores, virus, protozoic exciters and lower fungus. It is applied as disinfectant and detergent in stock- breeding, food industry and for veterinary- hygiene purposes. Ferric Chloride Liquid Technical Grade (FeCl3) Obtained from iron and chlorine containing gases. Used mainly for purification of water in the power industry, in the chemical purification units and for other industrial purposes.
