Polymath University

Polymath University is a new nonprofit university that empowers curious people to solve complex challenges. We are building a new model for higher education that clearly connects education with career outcomes, without losing the critical and creative thinking that unlocks problem solving and innovation. Our bachelor's program is a 3-year, 120-credit program where students serve as apprentices in knowledge economy roles in their 2nd and 3rd years. Employer partners benefit from a reliable talent pipeline and students – who commit to work for their employer for a period of time after graduation – earn a debt-free degree while gaining real world experience. Polymath University also offers stand-alone courses (remote, synchronous) beginning Spring 2025, and a master's level certificate program called the Polymath Fellowship (hybrid, synchronous) launching Fall 2025. Our team includes military veterans, college presidents and professors, artists and authors who want to support students eager to tackle human-scale challenges. These include global issues like climate change to poverty, social issues like polarization and loneliness, and technological issues like data privacy and disinformation.
