Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Lancashire-based Polytank Group has always striven to establish and maintain a reputation for top quality and cutting edge innovation in the manufacture of liquid storage tanks and other rotationally moulded polyethylene products. When it began operations from its 20 acre site in Freckleton near Preston in 1971, the family-controlled company specialised solely in the manufacture of water storage tanks for both domestic and commercial/industrial applications. Since then the company has grown in size and stature and has introduced many other complementary products - although Polytank still boast a majority share of the domestic water tank market in the UK. “We very quickly gained a solid reputation within the industry for the best quality and best designed water tanks – and over the years we have been careful to preserve that enviable image,” says Gary Fidler, Polytank’s current managing director and son of the company founder. “Today Polytank is the most recognised brand for cold water storage in the UK. This recognition is based on quality and innovation and provides a solid base for the development of new products,such as Polyblue” Polygroup now have four clearly defined divisions to their company.
