Porteolas is a proving ground for applied Operations Research (OR) in the age of AI – focused on pressure-testing readiness and assurance while stewarding decision legibility. The work staged through Porteolas examines how human agency must be preserved as automation scales. While analytical tasks increasingly accelerate, judgement, governance, and responsibility remain human obligations. Porteolas exists to explore that boundary through disciplined systems inquiry. Explorations are self-directed and method-driven, evolving classical OR methodologies through applied research, scenario design, and rapid prototyping. Emphasis is placed on surfacing tradeoffs, bias, risk, and second-order consequences that are often obscured by performance metrics alone.
