In 1975, Portfolio Home (formerly Bedmaker) began in Manchester, also known as Cottonopolis. Manchester has changed a lot since then, but our commitment remains the same: to provide quality home textiles that bring comfort, warmth and style into every home. Our founders, Prakash Gangani and his brother Sudhir, had a deep passion for craftsmanship, design, service and quality – quickly setting a standard in the bedding industry that resonated with customers. Upon retirement in 2017 the business was sold and was outside family hands until 2024. Design is at the core of our identity. We stand at the forefront of home textile trends, consistently pioneering new styles. Over the years, we’ve set many trends, turning regular spaces into areas of exceptional style and comfort. Our wide range of designs and brands showcase our creative evolution, featuring a varied collection that covers everything from timeless elegance to contemporary chic. Our design team tirelessly works to stay ahead of the curve, ensuring that every product not only meets the current trends but also anticipates future ones.
