Portkin

PortKin was established by a group of Ottawa-based engineers and transportation industry experts from Alberta and Toronto. Our research began in Jan 2022, and by December 2023, we had developed a blueprint of PortKin's features. Our aim is to provide transparency, fair pricing, and eliminate middleman brokerage companies, all while maintaining quality of service, safety, and support. According to 2021 Canadian industry statistics, 99.5% of carrier companies in Canada are micro or small companies, with more than 82% of those owning only 1 to 4 trucks. These companies often have limited backup hardware and struggle to meet the expectations of shipping managers, leading shippers to rely on freight brokers. Brokers make their profit by charging shippers more than they pay carriers for each shipment. PortKin is Cutting Middleman and Adding Reliability for efficient savings in Transportation costs and better rates for Carriers.
