Portrait Sonore

Depuis 2013, Portrait Sonore crée des œuvres originales ancrées dans les lieux, des parcours immersifs sur le patrimoine urbain, culturel et naturel. Le catalogue de l'organisme compte des productions bilingues dans quelque 7 villes au Canada; elles sont hébergées sur son application intitulée « Portrait Sonore » qui permet une expérience géolocalisée et directe de la ville. Ses valeurs : transmission de la réalité sans artifices et dans le respect des lieux et des gens qui y habitent; valorisation du son dans son format intime et brut; proximité au monde par la marche et en portant attention sur ces choses qui semblent Since 2013, PORTRAIT SONORE has been using mobile technologies to provide direct knowledge and experience of the city and its heritage. Its immersive documentary-style audio content highlights Canada's cultural, architectural and natural heritage through a free mobile application. Its immersive productions can be listened while walking around the city. The results: more than 250 architectural and artistic works narrated, more than 40 musical compositions, more than 180 experts and creators who testify in both languages from Vancouver to Halifax. Portrait Sonore owns its own distribution platform (available on both Apple Store and Google Store). In 2022, Portrait Sonore received the prestigious PRIXNUMIX and a grant from Radio Canada (Ohdio) for its original way of thinking about the podcast, the durability of its creations, the diversity of its targets and the voices heard in its sound creations. Among other recognitions, PRIXNUMIX Mention Diversité et Inclusion granted in 2024 by the CMF for its sound project « Our Ways : Peel trail » a dialogue between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous people, and shortlist in 2024 for the Governor General’s History Award for Excellence in Community Programming.
