Our product Rail Power enables us to take a familiar sound and determine the health of rail infrastructure. PEG founders Steve Dunn and Gy Harness have the credibility and capability to deliver Rail Power. Dunn, has previously secured ~£1.8 million of innovate funding leading to licensed patentable technology. Harness, through Network Rail, is experienced in partnering with SMEs providing access to track enabling new device testing and development. This has delivered breakthrough technology to the rail network. Rail Power combines paradigm shifting materials engineering with the latest machine learning. We take vibration from the rail and analyse it forecasting failure. This enables us to recognise failure earlier than current systems, providing opportunity for early intervention. Uniquely, we can identify the failure mechanism at play, isolating if a ‘squat’ or void is forming and report that geolocated event. Having completed Phase 1, a TRL 4 system, we are now running pilot studies to ensure fidelity of laboratory results in the real-world. We will provide early notification and accurate determination to reduce costs and increase safety.
