PowderWorks was formed as a standalone company in 2020, though it has a long-standing history with powder coating through its parent company Butterfield Signs. Born from the relocation and expansion of an existing double-booth and box oven spray shop into what it is today, it holds over 97 years in coating and finishing knowledge, expertise and experience. Investment into a suspended line allowed for additional capacity not just to cope with the group’s existing customer requirements, which centre around signage, but also offer our services to other companies in different sectors. Implementing automation was just as important as creating extra capacity and our overall vision was for a state-of-the-art powder coating facility offering high quality finishing with a quick turnaround and warranty to suit. An automated colour changing booth and reciprocator guns were incorporated as well as a one-step pre-treatment using the latest Plaforization technology aligning our green credentials.
