In Sochi we provided temporary power back up systems for competition, non completion venues and The International Broadcast Center. We complied with all international standard requirements at the highest level and received great commendations from IOC, OBS, Sochi Organizing Committee and many broadcasters including NBC. At the International Broadcast Center we provided a complete logic control system which was capable of automated generator operation and synchronization with the Russian utility grid. This requirement was specifically called for by OBS in accordance with their specification for uninterrupted broadcast requirements. We provided 800 km of electrical distribution cable, electrical distribution panels, 140 generator sets and up to 500 people for installation, operation and decommissioning.
