The origin story of Point isn't the typical Silicon Valley big bang explosion of innovation cumulating in our parent's garage. It was the gradual manifestation of a passion, nay obsession, for fitness we've had our whole lives. Our founders are dedicated and inspired members of the fitness community — not to flex (pun intended) but our CEO was a Men's National Team member and three-time National Champion in rugby, while our COO is the proud owner of an LA-based fitness studio. This experience gave us certain realizations about fitness that came to be undeniable truths: people value exercise and wellness but are frustrated by the overwhelming volume of options and trends that never really help them reach their goal. Why Point? We're glad you asked! A point in geometry is defined as the connection between two or more lines. And that's what we set out to do. Point is the center of your fitness routine — combining the data from your wearable and analysis on your performance to create a custom fitness routine — bringing together all the pieces of your wellness life. By making a personalized fitness routine based on your biometric data, we completely reject the idea that health and fitness is one size fits all. Point was built by detail-obsessed, efficiency monsters/data nerds for the motivated, sophisticated, and *a little* confused out there just wanting to better understand their health and meet their fitness goals. We're not gym rats, and we definitely don't take flex selfies. but we *do* love the fitness community. And we think it's time your fitness data worked as hard as you do during your work out.
