In 2017, Charlie Powers started painting and quickly discovered that his art reveals more than first meets the eye. Add some RGB LED lights behind the art and it comes to life, transforming into multiple paintings in one. PoweredUpArt is about more than just backlit paintings, though. It's about creating something that changes how you view art. Before he started painting, Charlie didn't really understand some art. Not to say he didn't like the art, he just didn't feel a connection to it. Ever since his first painting, he has witnessed a whole new world that eluded him prior. Charlie understands that creating art and spending time admiring artwork is a form of therapy unlike anything else, and he wants to spread this therapy to the world through his art and helping others unlock their inner artists. We are all born artists, after all.
