The area of concentration in cybersecurity is what sets PPEE apart from other academic programs and professional programs in electrical engineering in Brazil. The focus on cyber security allows the creation of lines of research in different electrical engineering domains, such as the security of critical energy and power infrastructure, the security of critical communications infrastructure, the security of Information systems, software, and networks, the security of electronic and control and automation systems, as well as data, computer and forensic sciences linked to these lines of research.
