We at “PRACHEEN” specialized in Block Printed silk saree, stoles, shwals, dupattas, fabrics by meter on Natural Silk Fabrics since last 100 years. We are proud to carry on ancient Indian tradition of printing using vegetables, herbals, minerals and insect substances in contrast to artificial synthetic chemicals. Block printing has been the traditional method of printing on cloth. In earlier days people use to use blocks made from stone. the designs were carved on the smoother side of the stone. Well the colours also use to be obtained from the mud n coloured stones. Later people started to use wooden blocks which was easy to maintain and was less weight as compared to the blocks made from stone. To get very fine print on fabrics, blocks made from brass are used to get the smooth fine print on the fabric. The use of natural dyes is also an ancient method of colours used for dyeing n printing on matrials. Theses dyes are obtained from herbs, plant roots, barks and insects. Previously there were limited knowledge about colours obtained from certain plants only. But now after lots of research n experiments there has been more colors added to the color pallet of naturals dyes.
