Our story began about 7 years ago with a dream to be one of the nation’s most innovative community banks … to embrace fresh, new paradigms in creating one of the most unique, fully-integrated, operating platforms found in any financial institution. Since our founding in Charlotte, North Carolina, we have moved decisively in offering an innovative, distinctive community banking experience to differentiate ourselves in a world of commonality and follow-the-leader approaches. This has allowed us to commence migration into a regional bank encompassing a geographical corridor of the Carolinas, Virginia and Washington, D.C. Under our expansion strategy, we recently opened our new location at 1299 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington DC. During the 1st quarter of 2014 we unveiled one of the most futuristic banking facilities found anywhere with striking glass partitions, kinetic interactive walls, robotic bankers, sidewalk lobby window screens and the latest in back-office technology. We are bringing a whole new style and function to banking in Washington.
