Preparing The Trail 2010

Preparing the Trail 2010 is an environmentally active, not-for-profit, tree adoption program dedicated to promoting environmental awareness while supporting our athletic and environmental charities. Between the Summer of 2009 through to the end of 2010, athletes and community supporters will come together to plant thousands of trees across Canada in an active movement to make our earth a greener place! The tree planting symbolizes our athletes' willingness to take a moment from the competition of everyday life, grab a breath of fresh air, and enjoy the satisfying feeling of giving something back to mother earth. Utilizing GPS and Google Map technology, each tree planted is documented with the intended purpose of making it eligible for adoption. Once adopted, the tree is then uploaded to a Google map, allowing the adoptor to virtually watch it grow online. Let's Get Growing Canada!
