Our Reality: People think young black girls need less nurturing, protection, support, and comfort. There is the notion that girls of color, especially those 5-14, are less childlike and, as a result, more likely to be assigned greater culpability for their actions. Our Mission: To teach Middle and High School girls of color the skills needed to build a solid social-emotional foundation. Our Vision: To provide girls of color a safe environment in which they can comprehend, manage, and express their emotions. Our Promise: We promise to use our time, talents, and treasure to * Eradicate the adultification of girls of color.* Promote the emotional and mental wellness of girls of color.* Utilize our platform to support initiatives in the communities of the girls we serve.* Amplify voices of marginalized communities.
