Primary Source Media makes podcasts, television shows, digital content, and films about US History. Primary Source Media highlights defining moments, untold stories and the personalities of the individuals involved. Primary Source Media combines storytelling techniques born in the digital age, fact based modern journalism and primary source documentation from the nation’s top historians, to bring a unique and fresh experience for a contemporary audience that inspires curiosity and exploration of history. Executive Chair Buck Buckley founded the company in 2020. He describes Primary Source Media as “a company that is elevating history by elevating and championing historians.” Primary Source Media was founded on the premise that everyone can benefit from connecting with history, and that knowledge of the past gives us crucial context and perspective. The company’s second project is Revolutionary, an eight-episode docuseries about George Washington currently in production, that was filmed throughout the Philadelphia region and at Mount Vernon.
