Primo 4586, founded in 2013 by 4 ambitious students, aims to foster a family-like team dedicated to community impact, excellence, and STEM development. This team works year-round to inspire society and promote STEM and FIRST values. Coming from a close-knit city, we leverage local partnerships to offer diverse community activities and volunteering. The team has secured 2 district event wins and 1 Israeli District Championship, and competed once in the World Championships. Beyond these wins, the team has earned 16 awards, including 'Excellence in Engineering' and 'FIRST Innovation Challenge'. About FIRST FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), founded in 1989 by inventor Dean Kamen, is a global nonprofit, engaging millions of students. Its mission is to inspire young people to become science and technology leaders through exciting, mentor-based programs that build STEM skills, self-confidence, communication, and leadership. It emphasizes critical thinking, highlighting the importance of solving problems, learning from failures, and continuous improvement. Kamen envisioned making STEM fields as thrilling as professional sports. About FRC The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is FIRST's flagship program, offering high school students a unique opportunity to design, build, and program industrial-sized robots for a challenging field game. The competition kicks off on the 1st Saturday of January, when approximately FRC teams worldwide receive the year’s challenge via NASA’s live feed. Teams then have 6.5 weeks to plan, design, manufacture, build, code, and wire their robots. After the build season, regional competitions occur globally. Matches are played between 2 alliances, each with 3 robots. Competitions typically span 2-3 days, including a training day, a qualification day (where robots are ranked by match results), and a finals day (best-of-3). Winning alliances from regional events advance to the FRC Championship in the US.
