We could have aimed at giving clothes, food items and classroom education to young people but rather we chose to focus on their talents because, it has been ignored and their talents can afford the aforementioned. Someday we will show you Tade, Ruth, Akosua, Zuri Chinedu - young people from the rural or low caste areas in Africa who through their talents, giftings and unlearned abilities have been able to lead their families and communities out of poverty. Most of these young people are talented beyond comprehension. Maybe someday you should sit around them and observe the spontaneity in their creativity. You'd be wowed! As a foundation, our main aim is to develop African communities because we believe 'Africa is the future'. This we would do through talents discovery and development. Our major tools to make this cause produce an expected ripple effect is research and analysis. These tools would help us come up with novel ideas on how to target, develop frameworks that can help in the discovery of talents among African kids between ages 5-19, as well as create talent development models. As part of our contribution to United Nation's #sdg4 we would be providing out-of-classroom sustainable education through an inclusive and equitable lifelong learning opportunity for these young people. To also contribute to #sdg1 our goal is to leverage talent development as a tool to alleviate poverty in Africa. One community at a time!
