About Helen: As a Marriage & Family Therapist, and Licensed Professional Counselor, I have extensive experience helping couples, individuals and children change destructive behavior, build solid relationships, and achieve happy, fulfilling lives. My formal education consists of a Master's Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, a Master's Degree in Cross Cultural Studies, and a Master's of Divinity in Theology. What sets me apart from other counselors is my ability to keep clients on a systematic approach to change. I have put together an intensive, short term program to help them achieve results quickly, even after 2-3 visits. Starting out as a 12 year old, I have lived and worked for several decades as an expat in many countries (Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Finland, Russia and former Czechoslovakia). Many of my clients are globally mobile. Because of my background, I understand the demands placed on them while living in cross cultural settings. As a mother, I understand the difficulties parents face today raising children. I am able to offer support, encouragement and counseling services to parents of children with special needs, developmental delays, high IQ and gifted children.
