Principality Building Society

Principality is a mutual building society, which means that we're owned by and run for the benefit of our Members – our savers and borrowers. We don't have any shareholder interests to satisfy so all our profits are put back into the Society, to benefit our Members. Our key priority is to keep our Members’ money safe and to remain true to the meaning of being a mutual. We’ve been looking after our Members’ savings and mortgages for over 165 years. With 69 locations across Wales and the Border Counties, we’re the UK's 6th largest building society. Our Chief Executive, Iain Mansfield, was appointed in 2025 and our Chair, Simon Moore in 2024. We love to celebrate everything that’s great about Wales. In January 2016, as part of our ongoing support and commitment to Welsh rugby, we entered a new landmark partnership with the Welsh Rugby Union, with the renamed Principality Stadium.
