Prism Design Lab provides youth in the Durham - Chapel Hill area with a space for exploration and creative expression. Our Mission: To inspire youth to imagine the beauty they want to see in the world, and to provide a platform to project their vision and voice to the broader community. Prism welcomes young people from all backgrounds, with a focus on fostering creative opportunities for those who currently lack representation in the design professions. Our young creatives are equipped with the tools needed to shape their built environment through art, architecture, and community action. What We Do- Provide a space for exploration and creative expression- Facilitate workshops in art, architecture, and design- Foster youth’s relationships with design professionals- Increase diversity in the professions of art, architecture, and design- Produce public art- Provide architecture and design services at accessible rates to nonprofit organizations and social enterprises.
