Prism Vision

Prism Vision is a color detection application for people with visual impairment founded under the CoCreate fellowship. Prism Vision was created hand in hand with our co-designer, Dr. Somaya Al-Najashi, who is a successful university lecturer living with a visual impairment. Our main focus was to make colors accessible for everyone, therefore, our study focused on a universal design that includes easy navigation to make the application as accessible as possible. Our app uses the device’s camera or the device’s photo album to identify colors and then describes the color either in text or audibly for people with visual impairment.
