Prisoner Learning Alliance

The Prisoner Learning Alliance (PLA) closed in December 2023. The PLA was a network of organisations and individuals with expertise, experience or an interest in prison education. Our network of over 400 members included prison officers, governors, prison teachers, voluntary sector workers, academics, people with lived experience of prison, and prison education providers. With a shared vision of high-quality learning opportunities which enable personal and professional transformation, we worked together to influence prison education priorities, policies and practices across England and Wales.
