Pro Bass Lessons

Pro Bass Lessons was established in 2004 by professional bass player and music educator Scott Sutherland with the aim of setting a new standard in private music instruction for the bass guitar in New Zealand. Scott provides high quality personalized music tuition catering to bass players of all ages and abilities, from gigging professionals through to absolute beginners. Over the last decade Scott has taught in excess of 300 bass players many of whom have gone on to achieve prominence in the music scene both here and abroad. He has mentored the bass players in some of New Zealand’s most popular bands including The Veils, Cut Off Your Hands, David Dallas, Sherpa and The Earlybirds. As well as having his own private teaching practice, Scott also teaches bass guitar at St. Kentigern College.
