Prodrama

Pro Drama Cultural Association (founded in 2011) is an young non-profit organization that aims to promote young performing artists. Its mission is to discover, develop and promote new, thought-provoking plays, and serve as an artistic home to the next generation of playwrights, actors, directors, designers, choreographers, producers and translators. The goal of Pro Drama is to develop a diverse body of work that submits to a unique and rigurous aesthetic reflecting the highest artistic standards, and to maintain an environment in which talented artists can do their best work. The association has four productions in its portfolio: “Someone like you” by Cristina Florea (the Romanian playwright's debut play), “Gruesome Playground Injuries” by Rajiv Joseph (American playwright and a 2010 Pulitzer Prize finalist),"Orphans" by Dennis Kelly (National Premier at Act Theatre Bucharest),"Buy Nothing Day" by Kim Atle Hansen (National Premier at National Theatre Bucharest). Pro Drama has several partnerships that include National Theatre Bucharest, Godot Teatru, Nottara Theatre, Act Theatre, Theatre Without Borders and Doctor’s Studio, ARCUB – Artă și Cultură București, Centrul de Cercetare şi Creaţie Teatrală „Ion Sava“, Retro Future, Reciclare Creativă, ActiveWatch, Creionetica, ArtWe, Diana Ionescu Make-up Studio's.
