Stockport is going through a period of exciting change. The lack of true collaborative workspace for new and small business led to the establishment of PROFOLK. Creative, technology driven workspace, offices and meeting rooms are all housed in one of Old Town’s most iconic buildings, Bank Chambers. Number 14 Market Place (Bank Chambers) was built in 1868 for the Bank of Stockport by local architect T A Allen. The bank was later acquired by The National Westminster. Grade 2 listed, the building maintains many original features including stained glass windows, marble columns and three security vaults.
