Progressing through Therapy is a black-family-owned mental health practice in Greensboro, NC serving the Piedmont Triad and the surrounding area since 2016. Progressing through Therapy employs one licensed clinical mental health counselor, one licensed clinical mental health counselor associate, one licensed clinical social worker associate, as well as we have two graduate school interns. Our licensed clinicians are trained in learning your languages such as but not limited to family language, culture language, learned behaviors, and conditioned thinking that guide your thoughts, feelings, and actions. We utilize techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), reality therapy, existential therapy, and expressive arts therapy to coach clients in identifying the disconnect between the thoughts, feelings, and actions.
