Project 2024

Project 2024 is a non-profit organization dedicated to preparing judo athletes for the Olympic games. Our mission is to create a professional judo development program in the US that ensures proper support for athletes and coaches with Olympic aspirations. We provide athletes with financial support, development plans, technical expertise, and training necessary to reach their goals. The goal is to prepare the US Judo Team and international athletes for success at the 2024 & 2028 Olympic Games. We seek to achieve this by driving a grassroots campaign to increase overall judo involvement and support across the country, holding numerous clinics every year around the US, looking for burgeoning talent while cultivating the development of young athletes. Project 2024 has some of the best judo practitioners in the US as coaches with each dedicated to furthering Project 2024’s goals. Many of the coaches have won Olympic medals in the past or have competed in numerous Olympic Games and World Championships. Coaching staff:* Jimmy Pedro - 2x Olympic Bronze Medalist, 2x World Champion, Olympic Coach * Kayla Harrison - 2x Olympic Gold Medalist, World Champion * Travis Stevens - Olympic Silver Medalist * Israel Hernandez - 2x Olympic Bronze Medalist (CUB), USA Olympic Coach * Marti Malloy - Olympic Bronze Medalist, Silver World Medalist These coaches along with operational staff led by Chris Skelley, team manager for the USA Judo Team from 2006-2016, help create, manage, and coach clinics held all around the US. Since 1992, the USA Judo Team has won six Olympic medals and seven world medals. We aim to build on this momentum and drive greater success in the 2024 & 2028 Olympic Games. While the Olympics seem far away, training and preparation of athletes must begin now. Project 2024 is the top program cultivating judo athletes in the US. Supporting Project 2024 helps young athletes achieve their dream to compete in the Olympics and win the gold one day.
