Project Swap

With the global plastic production expected to quadruple by 2050 (Geyer et. al), plastic waste and its impacts remain to be an urgent problem threatening our planet. Lower-income countries like the Philippines, with fewer resources for adaptive and mitigative measures, are especially at risk. Project SWAP (Sustainable Waste Action Program) aims to combat the threats of plastic pollution by fostering awareness about the crisis and by training youth with upcycling methods. We’re looking for 20 dynamic Project SWAP youth ambassadors (ages 15-24) from across the Philippines who want to channel their passion about the environment into tangible change. SWAP ambassadors will undergo leadership seminars as well as interactive workshops, lessons, and demos about plastic upcycling.
