Prolike employs Young Independent Professionals (yipees) in LEAN software development and engage them with customers using only contemporary and moderns tool stacks, technologies and methods. The yipees are backed by elders. They are professionals with +15 years of industry experience. The elders vouches for the technical excellence and work as mentors and trainers to the yipees. A modern Master/Apprentice work model. We work by LEAN Software Development principles; Constant focus on the customer's value stream, we build quality in - as opposed to glue it on after the product is done. We advocate and implement contemporary software values such as "Anything as code","Programmable and immutable infrastructure","Automated functional end-to-end tests2,"Configuration as code". We're back-to-basic agile - LEAN. We kontrol our backlog using Kanban. We don't sprint, we keep a constant pace indefinitely. The yipees only work in pairs or mobs. Our primary measure of progress is running code. We only invoice when we deliver value. A lot of our yipees are working with us part time while studying. Their incentive to learn is to create value at a customer - not just to pass an exam. We belive that the evolving gig-economy will only grow larger in the future. Therefore we put the yipees in the font-line when it comes to account management. They will take responsibility for the contact to the customers, backlogs, deliveries, deadlines, tool demos, retrospectives, expectation management. We're teaching them the in's and outs of running a professional company. They are the tomorrow-people.
