Prolira is all about brain state monitoring in routine hospital care - important to detect and treat acute encephalopathy and delirium. Delirium (acute brain failure) affects over 3 million hospitalized patients in Europe every year. It is a potentially fatal medical emergency that regularly leads to long-term cognitive impairment (dementia), results in longer hospital admission, a 3-fold increase in mortality, and directly contributes to higher healthcare costs. It is our challenge to solve the unmet clinical need for accurate and safe detection. Our solution is an AI-enabled and simplified form of the gold standard for delirium diagnosis (EEG) for use at the bedside. A 5-minute test that confirms the state of the brain, with the potential to be as ubiquitous as a blood pressure cuff.
